All clients must take an in-person childbirth education class; however, it does not have to be the course offered through Mockingbird Mothering. Childbirth education is essential for all birthing parents, whether as a refresher for those who have given birth before, an opportunity to prepare for a different birth setting (hospital, birth center, or home birth), or as a crucial learning experience for first-time parents to understand what to expect. While prenatal meetings will cover some key topics and address questions, there is not enough time to thoroughly explore all aspects of childbirth. A dedicated childbirth class ensures clients feel informed, confident, and empowered as they approach their birthing experience.
Mockingbird Mothering’s Childbirth Education Course costs $300, with a possible mileage fee depending on location. Alexzandrea teaches classes, and Lizzie will attend when available. This in-person course provides essential preparation for all birthing parents, whether as a refresher, an introduction for first-time parents, or preparation for a different birth setting.
